Firstly I'm in no way affiliated with Christchurch Harbour Hotel & Spa, I was booked directly by the Bride & Groom.
I was pleasently surprised when I arrived, the interiror is very modern and classy, the rear showcases some excellent views and you can tell the place is very well kept. The staff were excellent, very approaceable and friendly (more so than others) Chris was very helpful and I got a very positive feeling from everybody I spoke to - exactly what you want from a Bride and Groom's perspective.
Parking for guests might cause an issue if it's busy as whilst they do have quite a few spaces when I arrived there wasn't any left and I needed to park a couple of minutes down the road after unloading.
This is hardly surprising considering the lovely location though!
The Lower Deck where I would set my wedding DJ equipment up is of a good size and was a good match acoustically for my speakers. There is a sound limiter which normally I wouldn't be very keen on as this could cut the music off should it get too loud however I did not experiance any issues
despite some guests singly very loudly and my music being at a party volume. It does seem to get a little warm down there though, but luckily they have air conditioning units to combat this!
Alongside my wedding disco service I have provided my giant 4ft high MR&MRS sign which I was asked to place outside during the day and then I took it down to the lower deck in the evening, it looked great as you can see in the pictures above and was a great photo oppurtunity. I was booked until midnight and and told that the music must be lowered in volume at 11.30pm which of course does spoil the mood and it'd be worth having your last track just before 11.30pm if you want everybody up dancing for it!
The Bride and Groom had a custom request page which I made for them in their choice of colours and font and I received a good amount to get me started with plenty more on the night!
